Director Statement
I feel privileged to have made this film during such difficult times. All of the challenges we faced were overcome by an exceptional cast and crew. The film began as a stark image in my head: a group of fearful Edwardians huddled and confused around a green 1980’s radio. This quickly grew into a story about obsession and grief, and the eternal search for truth in a ever-chaotic world. I’m excited to share our strange little film with the world.
Director Bio
Dominic O’Neill is a screenwriter and director working in Belfast. Belfast 1912 is his first short. The Irish tradition of storytelling and folklore suffuses his work. His strong visual style is influenced by British and American horror films of the 60’s and 70’s.
